Strategic decision-making for energy system planning under uncertainty
Gabriel Wiest studied physics with a specialization in computational physics and theoretical astrophysics at Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg. He graduated with his master's degree from Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg in 2022.
In his master’s thesis, Gabriel worked on fully compressible simulations of mixing and wave excitation driven by core convection in massive stars in the Physics of Stellar Objects (PSO) Group at Heidelberg Institute for Theoretical Studies under the supervision of Professor Friedrich Röpke.
In 2023, Gabriel joined the Energy and Process Systems Engineering Group as a doctoral student. His research focuses on strategic decision-making for energy system planning under uncertainty.
