Chemical Industry Decarbonization via Carbon Capture and Utilization within a Sector-Coupled Energy System, Green and Blue Ammonia Life Cycle Assessment
Patricia Mayer earned her B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 2014 and her M.S. in Chemical Engineering Practice (MSCEP) in 2016 from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). During her masters studies, Patricia worked on a series of projects at the Food and Drug Administration, evaluating the effects of process parameters on the continuous manufacture of oral dissolving films, and at Corning Inc., designing a process for the manufacture of Ultra Low Expansion glass.
Patricia then worked as a Process Engineer and as a Value Chain Optimization Analyst at ExxonMobil until 2020.
In February 2021, Patricia joined the Energy and Process Systems Engineering group as a PhD student. Her research now involves the optimization of decarbonized sector-coupled energy systems including industry.
