Celebrating 5 Years of EPSE!
Today marks the 5th anniversary of our research group – a milestone that reflects our journey of dedication, collaboration, and scientific impact.
Founded during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, our team came together even before our professor was able set foot in the office, driven by a shared passion for research.
What started as a group of 13 members has now grown to 33, spanning diverse expertise and backgrounds. By our first anniversary, our state-of-the-art laboratories were finally ready, enabling us to push the boundaries of discovery.
Over the past years, we have:
✔ Published 281 peer-reviewed papers and conference contributions (including 133 journal articles)
✔ Celebrated our first five PhD theses
✔ Seen our professor recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher
✔ Earned numerous poster and presentation awards
✔ Supervised 125 student theses (+15 ongoing)
✔ Co-hosted a prestigious Gordon Research Conference in Switzerland
Through it all, science has been fun, failure has been educational, and success has been worth celebrating. A huge thank you to all our employees, both past and present, for your unwavering dedication and hard work—this journey wouldn't have been possible without you.
We also want to recognize our project partners and funders, whose contributions helped shape our group’s foundation and continue to make an impact beyond our lab.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to advancing research, fostering collaboration, and mentoring the next generation of scientists. Here’s to the next chapter filled with discoveries, breakthroughs! 📚🔬
